Fall – Playoffs
The Gargoyles had a good playoff run winning the first round against the Rockford Ravens. The Ravens started out hot running the score up 7-19 at the half, and coming out with a quick try in the first 4 minutes of the second half to bring the score to 7-24. The Gargs made some lineup changes bringing in some veterans with fresh legs and started the rout with 28 unanswered points to grab a 35-24 victory. Jacob Mason secured all kicks on the day for the second time during the season.
The Gargoyles came into the second round of the playoffs vs the Chicago Blaze, hosting in Greenville on a cool 55 degree day with periods of Sun and a moderate wind. The Blaze scored first but were quickly answered by the Gargoyles. A few missed tackles, miscues, and penalties by the Gargyoles put them down significantly at half. In the second half, the Blaze committed multiple penalties that resulted in yellow cards. The Gargs were battling back from the large 1st half deficit but the clock ran out too soon ending in a 21-41 loss to end the season.
